A new wedding venue in the countryside near Glasgow is being established by the Imrie family at Hillhead Farm near Torrance.

The fourth-generation business is creating a multi-purpose events space at the family farm to “provide the backdrop for a fairy-tale country wedding with city convenience”.

At the heart of the venture is 230 square metre timber-frame dome structure and bookings for next year’s summer season are now open.

The Imrie family – Antoinette and John plus their six children Naomi, Matt, Jessica, Ben, Tabitha and Keziah – are running the business together and have invested more than £500,000 in bringing their vision to life.

In June, the venue hosted its first wedding when Jessica married her fiancé, James Bedford.

It is available to rent on a one or two-day basis from April to September each year, operating around the winter farming cycle and yearly lambing period.

The dome will comfortably hold up to 100 day and 150 evenings guests, with plans also in place to build six luxury on-site accommodation pods.
